when we filmed our piece, we decided to change some of our ideas to fit the house and setting we were in. we changed the plot to a killer, breaking into dans house. we did this becuase it would be less confusing for the audience to follow. we changed the name of the male figure to sam, this was due to the name gregory not seeming very realistic and also as sam is slightly more sinister as it was an s at the begining of the name.
we didnt know that the weather would be rainy but we decided to keep filming as we thought it created a better atmosphere, also looked good with some of the high angled and long shots.
we filmed some footage of dan getting ready for bed bfore the killer came into the house, but due to timing issues we decidede that it would be better to delete these scenes and produce more of a scary atmosphere instead of the contrasting scenes i the bathroom getting ready.
there was one shot that didnt show up properly due to lighting of the scene. i the kitchen scenes the killer is standing outside the window but this is not seen as the lighting outside was too dark, we tested having a small light outside, but it looked very unrealistic so we decided to just leave the scene how it was. we wanted the audience to be able to see the killer as it would raise suspence and curiosity to who the girl was and what she was doing there.

Mark has decided that he is going to take a copy of the of our sequence, and create the titles credits, by using Sony Vegas pro 8.0 and Adobe After Effects CS3.
Sam and Mark have found a style font/text, and the animation and effects of the text, we have chosen to choose a style that is similar to the one used in the film "Insomnia" since its blured effects creates an atmosphere of the genre film of Thriller, we also have chosen the colour of the text to be white as our film is shot in the dark, this way the text will stand out.
The whole group have created a audio track to our film by using the software "Soundtrack". We have used a variety of sound effects and Instruments to create the feel of suspense and fear in our movie opening sequence.
during filming we have chosen to change the plot and name of the movie from "copyright" to " the list". this is becasue we changed the plot of the film, so the title copyright would not be right for the film. we chose the list becuse the female killer has a list full of names of the victims that will be killed next.

Production Meeting No 4
In our next meeting we had performed part of our filming including Gregory walking out of the kitchen, walking up the stairs, crossing the hall and brushing his teeth. After this we edited our footage and got our clips into chronological order with continuity editing in order to create a sense of realism for the viewer.
We didn't manage to film all of our footage as for Brooke's scenes we needed it to be night and we wern't able to film later that day therefore we planned to film the next sunday when we would all be available later on in the day.
Production Meting No 3
In our third production meeting we discussed and planned shots for our film, we decided to use marks house in Redhill at is the easiest location for us all to get to. Some of the ideas we came up with consist of :
Gregory - in the kitchen, walking up stairs, brushing teeth and going to bed. This would impose the view that gregory is a normal average man to the viewer.
Brooke - across the road (out of the kitchen window whilst gregory is making tea), walking towards the house, climbing over the gate, shots within the house of brooke searching for the laptop in which she hid a computer virus. These shots will all be from long to mid range so that Brooke's character remains mysterious to the viewer.
We then planned our filming for the following wednesday when we were all available .
Production Meeting No 2
After discussing possibilities in "Production Meeting No 1" we decided upon the idea of a robbery. after discussing the details we came up with the idea of the robber looking for something in particular which we eventually decided would be a computer program, this program would be located within our victim's (Gregory's) house.
To keep a sense of mystery our villain (Brooke) would be wearing dark clothing and we would have long distance shots in order to keep the viewer from relating with this character.
In comparison to this our victim will be shown in good lighting with close up and mid-range shots letting the audience relate with him.

genre research
Crime thriller - This genre is combination of both crime films and thrillers. it has a suspenseful account of a crime (some of which fail). These films often focus on the criminals rather than a authority types such as police. Crime thrillers usually emphasize action. Central topics would include murders, robberies, chases, shootouts, and double-crosses. Some examples include:

meeting 4
we have produced our film company logo, to do this we used Live Type. as we had never used this program before we experimented with all the different effects, fonts, objects and textures. our film is going to be under the genre of thriller/mystery, we decided to make it a dark, scary background with bright lettering. the effect we used for the text to come up was quite slow to build suspense before the film starts.
we also started our powerpoint about our pitch. we have included the plot, setting, characters, costume, lighting, camera work and sound.

se7en title sequence analysis
uses a metronome to show the audience that h is an organized person, that doesn't like chaos or violence so he uses a metronome to keep a constant beat. this is a contrast to his everyday life as he is a detective in new york. the title sequence is a black background with white writing, showing a sinister tone. it also flashes clips of what the audience might think is a criminal of him cutting off his finger prints, the editing is cut very jumpy and flickers, to maybe show the criminals state of mind, and to disorientate the audience. there is a drop of blood to show there will be death or murder in the film. there is a god reference that might show that there will be religious content.
